A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently graduated from UCLA in June with a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. I have been tutoring my peers and students younger than me throughout my entire high school and college education, mostly in subjects related to math and science. I find working with kids and young adults very fulfilling, and I am looking to tutor more this summer because I would like to use my education to help students younger than me excel in their academics. As an engineering student, I have taken and excelled in several rigorous mathematics courses, including multivariable calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra. I am also confident in my teaching abilities for high school math, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus.

I am a 'relaxed' teacher, but maintain - or try to maintain - a good study pace. I've always have had a passion for children and teaching children. My 10 years experience in being the Director of Children Ministry at my church has enabled me to be creative, open minded and flexible when dealing with educating young minds. I believe that all children have the potential if they had someone to help them fuel their fire within them...so they can see the gold ring when they reached for it!
I chose to earned my BS in Microbiology and minor in Chemistry because it was one of the hardest major. I did this in four years while married with three children.
