Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I am an American Sign Language Interpreting major graduating this spring with my degree from an Interpreter Training Program. I will also have my License through the Ohio Department of Education after graduation to interpret in schools grades K-12. I am hearing impaired, deaf in my left ear, and have been taking ASL for ten years since losing my hearing.

I have been taking ASL classes for High School and College since losing my hearing in my left ear ten years ago. Sign Language is one of my top subjects!

Let me begin by saying that I absolutely love American Sign Language. I worked with an amazing mentor that I still keep in touch with. I have been fortunate enough to substitute for multiple school districts and different grade levels. I have also interpreted medical appointments and school orientation for Deaf parents of school age students. I am currently interpreting for an 8th grade student who is involved in football. We will then move on to basketball and then either baseball or track. I plan on returning to college with the next few months to begin the process of obtaining my Bachelor's degree.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that each child learn differently, and as such, I have found the best way to teach is to cater to each child's individual learning style.
