My comments on tutoring Spanish : I worked as a Spanish teacher at the Eden Valley Watkins High School for 7 years and built the program for the school. I work for a trading company and handle the exports to Mexico. I am a native speaker and grammar is a tool for me to teach. I also worked for the Meeker county court system as a translator.

I like to use grammar and all the tools available, reading, listening skills, writting. I think grammar is very important because it helps the student (s) to reinforce ther English grammar. I believe once that you have grammar skills, any other language will be very easy to learn. I like to use as well the web to explore and I would be open to use the material the student (s) are already using at school or at work.
I workd for the Eden Valley Watkins High School for more than 7 years. I build the Spanish program at the High School. I also worked as an ESL teacher for the elementary school at EV-W. I also had a couple of Community classes at Ridgewater College, MN and during the summer time as well for the EV-W children.

Spanish is one of my top subjects! I have been studying Spanish in an academic setting since I was in Middle School (2005). Since that time, I entered High School and studied it for three years, including two years in an honor program. After that, I entered college at Winona State University and earned a four-year degree in the Spanish language. While I have not studied abroad, I earned grades nothing short of exceptional with continually positive remarks and recommendations from my professors in regards to my proficiency. In addition, I spent at least an hour twice a week outside of class conversing with natives from Argentina and Peru in Spanish. Other than that, I spend time watching movies and dramas, listening to music, and reading books in Spanish.

I have always been interested in Japanese language and culture since I was in middle school. I enjoyed reading manga, watching anime, and playing video games, which introduced me to Japan in many ways. After entering college, I decided to start taking my studies of Japanese seriously. After a while, I discovered that I had a real knack for learning the language and then decided to do a travel study to see what Japan was like. I fell in love with the country, and made so many lifelong connections. I traveled to some of Tokyo's most well-known areas such as Yokohama, Kamakura, Akihabara, Shinjuku, and Ikebukuro. My comments on tutoring Spanish : Spanish Studies Minor from the University of Minnesota; communicate daily with native Spanish speakers at my job

I volunteered for Minneapolis Public Schools Adult Basic Education ESL program for over 2 years working with a wide range of students. I assisted in conversation and speaking classes for students in level 1 (little to no English) all the way to level 6 (preparation for GED test). I also have experience working as a Spanish tutor for high school Spanish students. I have studied 3 foreign languages myself (Spanish, Portuguese and Greek) and understand the difficulties, and excitement, of learning a new language. I currently work at a community clinic that serves many patients who are non-English speaking or have limited English proficiency and my background definitely allows me to be more patient with this demographic.
