Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity. Beginning as a student working towards my TEFL certificate, I volunteered at Somali Adult Literacy Training and organization which teaches English to Somalis in the Twin Cities. I continued volunteering with the same organization for 3 years. I have worked with a variety of skill levels and taught students on my own. Additionally, I have completed a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies at North Central University. I attended the University of North Dakota for 4 years and in that time received a BA in Anthropology which has provided me the experience and knowledge of helping people in holistic ways. I now attend graduate school to obtain an MS in Applied Anthropology.
