Learning is more effective if it is fun and relevant.

I'm currently working at a psychiatric treatment facility working with teenagers with behavioral, psychological, and emotional problems as a counselor. My job is to help these unfortunate teenagers and providing helpful advices to help them coping/improving their treatment. This mean that I actually interact and talk to each teen and get to know them in person. In doing so, I'm able to gain better insight on how to help them more affectively and personally.

Psychology is one of my top subjects! I am a 4.0 student majoring in Cognitive Psychology. The courses available for tutoring are: General Psychology (and below for high school students), child psychology, adolescent psychology, biological/physiological psychology and human cognitive behaviors. In the fall, I will be able to add language and cognition, personality development and abnormal psychology.

My approach is multimodal as all students are different. The one consistent element is that of an active learning environment. Passive memorization and repetitive tasks are not part of my repertoire as both have usually been unsuccessfully attempted by those seeking tutoring. I request a lot of participation from the student. Development of critical thinking is also a fundamental part of the tutoring environment.
