Encouraging enthusiasm for the subject matter,by making it more receptive,would be an additional desired outcome. I would place special emphasize on promoting the need to read,write,and speak well, regardless of the subject. Teaching critical thinking would also be a goal. Being overwhelmed with information that is just not making sense can be frustrating and most teachers don't have the time to give individual attention to each student. Ever student has different needs and I can help them focus on areas they doesn't understand as well as others. I can also show students that studying can be fun.
I have teaching and tutoring experience at the high school and college level. I love expanding their minds and sharing my knowledge with them.
