I grew up in a household that valued education and creative learning. As a result, I have always been driven to do my very best in all subject areas. I officially started tutoring in 2002, at Southwest Minnesota State University. My initial subjects were Algebra and Finite Math. I have been very successful at adapting my teaching style to fit the age and subject that I am teaching. I am easily able to gain students respect and attention, which has also made me a very useful substitute.
After I received my degree in Elementary Education, I was a substitute teacher in IA for one year. I then worked, taught and advised at a small private college in Iowa. Teaching Style I prefer to let students learn according to their style of learning. Fortunately, with my MBA almost completed, I am a master in learning during crunch time. As a tutor, I will first identify the existing learning gaps from the student. Then I would arrange the sequence of the learning objectives, and the time necessary to complete these objectives.
