I have attended an exchange Japanese/English conversational class for about 10 years. I have studied Japanese in high school, community college, and university. I also have working experience at a Japanese trading company that used some business and conversational Japanese. I had interaction in Japanese with my ex-Japanese wife who corrected and edified my Japanese language. I have worked in a clothing store using Japanese language with Japanese customers.
