I have always tried my best to help my fellow students in classes, but my formal experience teaching began my junior year of undergraduate. I started tutoring for the chemistry department and I volunteered for a chemistry demonstration show that promotes an interest in chemistry. When I started graduate school I got more experience as a teaching assistant for various general chemistry courses. I am easy going, energetic, very passionate (especially when teaching calculus and physics), and engaging. In most cases it takes only a few sessions and students are having fun. I believe that most students can understand mathematics with a proper explanation. For example, the order of operations is usually presented to students without explanation for its existence. This gives the false sense that it is an arbitrary rule. I enjoy sharing my understanding to students, but I also enjoy providing a role model for my students.
