A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught in many areas of study. Since I was young, I taught my younger family members the importance of manners, honesty, care, and responsibility. I believe this has carried into my real-life career as a teacher. I have taught at schools such as Hope Hall in Rochester, NY and Lemoyne Elementary in Syracuse, NY. There I helped my students with their basic subject courses during their class time period. I have taught dance at Kami's Kix Dance Studio which has helped me to gain stronger classroom management skills as well as gaining a thicker patience. I am currently attending SUNY Oswego and in 2011 will graduate with a BA in Childhood Education.

• As a NESCAC undergraduate, I explored many areas of study. In addition to earning a BA in English and American Literature while completing a minor in African Studies, I also became fluent in French through study, travel, and teaching. My first teaching experiences were in high school, when I choreographed musicals and tutored a young Chinese boy in English. In college, I co-instructed a drum circle. Finally, this past summer I worked as a Residential Advisor at the Middlebury-Monterey Language Academy. In this position I was an academic advisor, a social mediator, and a confidante.
