A Little Bit About Me...

I've always been driven to help others understand subjects on a deep level. When I was in high school, I taught my brother basic algebra. (He was ten years old at the time.) As the editor of a high IQ society's official publication, I work with people to help their submissions meet their full potential. My undergraduate degree is in economics, and my graduate degree is an MBA with a concentration in finance. As an Academic All-American and SUNY Chancellor Award winner, I've always valued education. I tutored writing and englisg-related topics in college. I also was a state certified hunter safety instructor for two years. I spent 8 years teaching life and social skills to developmentally disabled adults and even was able to get one to craft his own poetry,which we both found very rewarding.
I believe the best teaching involves personal attention to that in which the student's interests lie. Helping a student to see how a topic can have impact on his life will make the course relevent and help engage the youngster.
