My comments on tutoring Anatomy : Received an A in college level Anatomy and physiology course.

I believe that stimulating conversation and allowing people to arrive at answers on their own and through experience is the best way to form lasting connections.
I took a variety of Biology classes and Labs at WPI mostly focused on Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. I recently finished my PH.D. where I studied control of viral gene expression. This work encompassed a variety of biological disciplines including virology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics, all of which I am quite experienced in. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. As a recent college graduate, it is my strong belief that education can open doors to opportunities. Teaching Style- That is an interesting question- since there are so many schools with so many different teaching methods I would like to see how the student was shown the particular method for "attack". It would also be helpful to compare that to the textbook directions; from there I will be able to develop a plan based on the topic and the individual student. I have had to recreate lessons for my son for years in order to develop a style that he understands. The student may have an idea for creatively learning this topic- I am always open to suggestions.
