I have worked in the Education field for 9 years. I started off as a substitute teacher and later became a "permanent substitute" in 2002. In this same year, I also became a class monitor for Psycho-Edu with the Johnson Co. School System. These jobs both required me to help teach elementary students in every subject. My goal as a teacher is to help children appreciate learning and have fun while doing. I beleive that we all learn in different ways and a person should use a learning strategy that works best for them. I am available to help your child succeed academically. I have had much experience working with children of all ages in the Education Field as a Primary Teacher for Head Start and CIS after school program. I know that this is what I have been called to do and I enjoy doing.

I have 6 years experience tutoring various aspects of math and chemistry to individuals of all ages: I was varsity captain of my high school math team and led tutoring sessions for algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics. I served as a cub scout assistant den leader until I entered college and used to help young scouts with their homework while babysitting for many of their families. I am currently in my final semester at Georgia Southern University and will graduate cum laude with a BS Chemistry degree and mathematics minor this December. My career goals are to eventually teach chemistry to college undergraduates, and to do some resaerch in the field of drug design for medicinal treatment of Alzheimer's. I have taught 14 years from Elementary to high school. I am very skilled as a writing and language arts teacher but have also taught special ed (certified) in elementary and high school. I have most of my experience in elementary ed. I have taught in several educational settings but prefer a multiple intelligence, hands on approach. I am good at one on one.
