As both a teacher and a counselor I have worked to develop a teaching style that is student focused. In order to do that I want to inspire and challenge the student to reveal their abilities and interests and track them as they develop. The student and I will set specific goal areas with attainable steps, so that we can both check the progress. As a graduate of St. Olaf College in MN, I have used my BA in Secondary English Education in the business arena and to teach grammar, literature, advance and remedial writing classes, drama, and reading skills in the classroom. I have worked as a professional writer and editor, editing professional manuscripts, creating marketing materials, writing articles, and producing book reviews online. I held a valid teaching license in MN from 1983-1997, which I did not renew when I started my own business promoting women entrepreneurs online.
