I believe that the onus is on the teacher to help the student find the best way he or she can learn a subject, as well as to read the signs that a student is getting frustrated. I am well trained at assessing the strengths and weaknesses of a person's learning abilities and using that information to teach new material. From the beginning we must let the students know what expectations we have so that they can prepare themselves for the upcoming tasks at hand. I also believe that you must have some flexibility in teaching in understanding that some topics may take longer to cover than initially expected.
