My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : I have taught Intro to Excel at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.

I have been employed at Stanly Community College for almost 20 years in the Media Services Department. I have also served as an adjunct faculty member since 2011. Classes I've taught include MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, Intro to Computers, and College Student Success. I own a part-time business, Mark Sample Multimedia Enterprises, which specializes in video production. Examples include commercials, promotion and training videos, weddings, family histories, sports highlights, etc. I also do video conversions and duplication.

Using varied instructional strategies is a technique I have practiced when working with students who are struggling with a particular concept or subject matter. I think that a good educator is the key to success in a child's life. I can still remember my second grade teacher (Ms. Golf), she made learning fun and seemed like everyday was an adventure in her class. Sadly, not all teachers are like that. I do believe that all children learn in different ways. I think that if a child is given a chance and shown some patience, there isn't anything they can't acheive. Children should be guided in learning. They have short attention spans and I think learning should be made fun in order to hold their attention. A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient, considerate, and able to adapt to each child's way of learning to be able to help them understand what it is that they are trying to learn.
