My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : Excel is a really useful tool for crunching numbers and once you get the idea of how the formulas work, it's an invaluable one

My teaching style is usually hands on however where possible, I also have the ability to tutor remotely, greatly increasing the opportunity for distance learning.

My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : I have taught Intro to Excel at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.

I have been employed at Stanly Community College for almost 20 years in the Media Services Department. I have also served as an adjunct faculty member since 2011. Classes I've taught include MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, Intro to Computers, and College Student Success. I think that a good educator is the key to success in a child's life. I can still remember my second grade teacher (Ms. Golf), she made learning fun and seemed like everyday was an adventure in her class. Sadly, not all teachers are like that. I do believe that all children learn in different ways. I think that if a child is given a chance and shown some patience, there isn't anything they can't acheive. Children should be guided in learning. They have short attention spans and I think learning should be made fun in order to hold their attention. I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. My goal is to provide the best education possible and to suceed in that is to have great communication and alittle fun doing the work that is expected.
I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life.
