I started my college career at Drake University as a Mass Comunications major. I changed schools and recieved a double major in Business and Economics. I have 3 kids 15,11,10 and have helped them extensively, and all are excellerated students. I enjoy helping kids understand their subjects and obtaining the power to master their learning potential.
I enjoy working with children, and believe that all kids have the ability to achieve anything. As long as their mentors can give them an extra boost to understand certain concepts their ability to accomplish their projects and earn exceptional grades are endless. As an individual with business field experience and a bachelor degree, I have gained a wide array of experience. I have written all forms of papers, documents, and instructions as well as designed statistics, and testing methods. Statistics, Business Acumen, Organization, and a wide range of computer software are my primary skills.
In addition to my education and work experience, my teaching style derives primarily from my experience as a High School football coach. Coaching at all levels from middle school to high school has given mea unique perspective on seeing how different students learn and comprehend things. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very simple, it's teaching people the concepts at hand in a manner they can understand, because some texts and instructions can be very confusing and over explained. I enjoy making complex concepts seem easy to my students and love to watch them apply them to any problem. Once, I get my students thinking in the right manner they can solve any problem.
As a junior and senior finance major, I routinely tutored fellow classmates in several finance and business courses. I believe students will rise to the level of expectations set for them. I am a bit of a comedian, and I use humor to allay frustration in learning situations. I believe in setting goals and charting a specific path for reaching them, while being flexible enough to alter the path along the way. Praise and positive reinforcement are powerful tools when teaching challenging material, and I use them frequently.
I received a BA in General Business from WSU, and was honored as a Cum Laude graduate. The courses were varied and included a wide array of math application, from supply and demand curves to interest rate calculations. My classmates gave me the nickname "Webster" because I was frequently asked to edit their papers and to tutor them in several different subjects. I love working with teenagers, and watching their faces change when they really GET a concept for the first time!
