I love to see people grasping the simplest approach. I begin with an overview of what, exactly, is the goal and why we are doing it. I feel step by step methods, with easy to remember techniques, are best to achieving the final result. "Hands on" is definitely the approach, once the goal and methods have been established. Reiteration and practice help make problem solving achievable, and reasonably fun.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a BS and an MS in Aerospace Engineering. My most recent coursework was focused on Aerospace Propulsion systems- work which relies heavily on my background in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. I have always been a teacher at heart. It was often to the detriment of my own homework completion rate, as I would be much more interested in both solving the problems and helping my classmates understand how it worked that I was concerned with getting the solution written down for myself.
My teaching style is entirely dependent on who I'm teaching. I try to prod and ask leading questions, while also looking for how it is I can relate the subject matter to the student.
