A HAPPY ENERGETIC MOTIVATED COLLEGE TUTOR FOR ALL STUDENTS!!

My teaching and tutoring experience is not perfect however, i have taught middle school math and chemistry when i was volunteering in the local library for "Homework Help" program. I can not say about my teaching style because i do not own one. Instead of having my strict teaching style, i tune my speaking and personal teaching style for the student. Japanese is one of my top subjects! Having grown up with my Japanese grandmother (and a bilingual mother), I have been surrounded by the Japanese language and culture (while living in the US) from the time I was born. I attended Saturday Japanese school from pre-kindergarten until I graduated from the high school program (all classes taught only in Japanese using the same textbooks as public schools in Japan). Most of my classmates were the children of Japanese businessmen, researchers, etc who needed to be up to speed/keep up when they inevitably returned to Japan (and resumed going to school in Japan). In addition to focusing on schoolwork, the school integrated many important cultural traditions, events and activities outside of school, to which I was exposed. This foundation in the Japanese language and culture has allowed me to open many doors to amazing opportunities, such as living in Japan for a total of about 6 months, participating in an internship at a hospital in Kyushu (southern Japan), working as a freelance translator, and being able to help those interested in learning more about Japan (both the language and culture). I'd be more than happy to share about my experiences with you (or not... it's up to you! ;) ), and whether you want to learn Japanese because of anime, upcoming travel, or simply because you're interest in Japan, I will do my very best to help you achieve your goals.

I graduated in 2009 with the equivalent of a HS diploma from the Port of Sacramento Japanese School. I attended classes every Saturday morning from Pre-Kindergarten through high school. (The Port of Sacramento Japanese School is a weekly Saturday Japanese school run by the Japanese Ministry of Education, all classes taught in Japanese using the same textbooks as the students in public schools in Japan). Native Japanese Tutor teach real Japanese.

I do know how people teach Japanese in this country, but It is bit hard to teach like professors. so I have an original way to teach is that answering the questions students ask to me. and also writing some example sentences and showing how the sentences are organized. If students want, I do some stuffs instead of them! (not completely, but I do it as one of examples)
I was born in Japan and have liven in there till I graduate from a high school. I speak Japanese as first language and speak English as second language. I have stayed the United States about 5 years, and I studying at UC Davis now. When I was in another college in CA, I was doing TA of Japanese classes, and I was working in the College as a JAPANESE TUTOR.

My teaching style involves fun and an active student. Self-discovery is the best way to learn and retain knowledge. I see myself as the facilitator; I give my students the tools, so they can figure out problems on their own and become more self-reliant.
