I have a bachelor degree of Journalism from the University of Dakar Senegal.I was a journalist at the national Radio-TV of Senagl for 15 years, before coming to New-york; where I was for three years; diplomat at the UN where: I was in charge of the communication Strategies of the Mission of Senegal to the UNITED-NATIONS. From 2001 to this day, I am working in a law firm in Hartford Connecticut in charge of the files. I am 57 years old.

By my encouraging this group of diverse students to help me assess their work through journal writing, they became partners. Native speakers of English, believing that their communication skills were up to par, identified weaknesses and worked at correcting them; for other students, the course served as remedial instruction or a wake-up call.

My teaching style is relaxed, but focused. I believe all children can be natural learners, especially when they find something that interests them. Patience is the key with children. Every child has their own pace and learning style. Some are very visual learners while others need to be able to be more hands-on. It is very rewarding helping someone succeed.
I am a former UConn graduate (1984) with a BS in Marketing. Many of my electives were in mathematics, enabling me to work as a student tutor on campus. My son was diagnosed with Autism, this diagnosis woke in me a new desire to learn. I went on to complete my Masters Degree while working on my son's social, language and educational development.
