It's true that every student learns at a different pace with a different style. I like to see myself as a cameleon teacher, catering my format to individual needs. My style tends to be laid back so that students are comfortable expressing their likes and dislikes with me, curbing their fear of not understanding something. Students sometimes feel too vulnerable to try things when they don't know someone because they do not want to make mistakes. As a manager and coach I have formally and informally trained employees within my unit and provided same to those interested outside my area. Many have said "you should have been a teacher" over the years but more lucrative pursuits were my focus.
