My comments on tutoring Saxophone : Music studio offering clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, and recorder lessons taught by the Principal Clarinetist of the Livingston Symphony Orchestra.

For the past twenty years, Dimitry has been teaching students of all ages to play the clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, and recorder. Students will learn proper techniques, posture, breathing, phrasing, articulation, tone, rhythm, sight reading, solfeggio, music theory, and music history. They will also learn to play solos (with and without accompaniment), as well as duets (along with the instructor). Private lessons are customized to meet each student's goals, such as preparation for regional and state band auditions, concerts, and other music competitions.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style varies from student to student based on playing level, musical interests, and personality. I use a mix of method books and aural learning techniques. The student's musical priorities always come first!
I have been playing music my whole life. I began playing piano at six years old, saxophone at ten, bass guitar at thirteen, and guitar at fourteen. Throughout my high school career I played a variety of rock band gigs on guitar, bass, and keyboards; I also played a variety of jazz gigs on saxophone. Currently I am a music student at William Paterson University, and am graduating this May with a degree in Jazz Saxophone Performance.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have had various experiences from Pre-K through the middle school age, with a strong concentration in Language Arts at the primary level. I am Elementary School certified K-8 and I am Highly Qualified in LAL. After three years in a self-contained elementary classroom in Hudson County I took a childcare leave of absence and have yet to return full time to work. I have received my degree in Teaching/Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. I have a passion for Writing, Language Arts and Reading Recovery. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching, and specifically teaching music, has been my passion for years. While tutoring, I use a wide variety of methods, including metaphors, diagrams- whatever the student requires to learn the material. I am exceptionally patient with struggling students, because I know that losing patience solves nothing, and given the right materials and knowledge, the student will succeed.
