I like to use examples and cater my lessons to what the student needs to work on (i.e. homework, test-prep). I also differentiate my style based on whether the student learns best through audio, visual, or kinesthetic means. I like to accommodate to a child's personality and likes to help them to learn through distinct processes. When given the opportunity in the correct manner, children can learn most of what is put in front of them. During my four years at East TN State University (ETSU), I tutored college students in General and Organic Chemistry, and multiple Psychology courses. I also taught for Kaplan Test Prep in small classes and prepared high school students for the SAT and ACT. I graduated in 2004 with a BS in Psychology. I did substitute work January-June 1992 September 1992 taught Kindergarden at New York City Schools. This proved too far from home, and the teaching market had a glut so found other work. also took graduate course work in mostly reading. In 2004 worked as reading remediation instructor for Mesa Public Schools in Arizon for 3 years.
