As a beginning substitute teaching day-to-day I encountered a diverse cross section of students. I taught from special education to advanced students. The encounters went from cultural, age, to behavioral. the subject matter went from home economics, art, math, english, history, to science. Most students lack structure and focus, therefore, knowledge and a lesson plan helps as well as the ability to manage a classroom.
