A Little Bit About Me...

14 years as a pharmacist. I have two girls a 5th grader and a 9th grader. I have helpe my 9th grader accelerated two years ahead in math in two years just because she could an dI was there to help her. I am currently tutering my teenager in chemistry and she said I explain it better than the teacher. She went from a 60 on the first test to getting A's in chemistry now.

I started my teaching career in 1983 at Indiana Girls’ School in Indianapolis, Indiana. After teaching for six years I successfully transitioned into the business world for the next 20+ years. I graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in chemistry and alongside I had taken many biology classes as a prerequisite for pharmacy school.At UA I skip a couple of math and physics classes and got placed in Calculus II and Physics II. I attended pharmacy school for couples of years, where I took some advance biology classes and was very involve in group assignments and group study. My teaching style assesses in the student's learning ability to set the pace. Before beginning the next a review of the previous lesson is in order to be sure the prior lesson has been grasped. Each encounter with the students is an assessment for me as well as for the student of me. Positive reinforcement is a good way to keep students on point. It is not a good idea to become "chummy" with your stucents (familiarity breeds contempt). Gain your student's respect and respect your student in return but, you must take charge.
