As a graduate from UNC Charlotte, I earned a BS degree in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry. I have strong grammatical and organizational skills from writing lab reports, the ability to express logic from writing proofs, and a strong knowledge of how to study effectively. As a tutor and through organized training sessions, I have learned how to deal with many different situations, including students with a learning disability and non-traditional students. As a tutor for UNC Charlotte for the past two and a half years, I have tutored students in many introductory college Chemistry and Math courses, as well as in advanced and remedial Math courses. A Little Bit About Me...

I began teaching at Hesperia Christian in 1995. First, I substituted and then taught part-time, two to four subjects a year: Advanced Math and Drama, 5 years; Biology, 1 year; and Advanced Drama, 3 years. When my son started seventh grade, I began homeschooling. I taught Earth and Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Grammar, Vocabulary, English Composition, British and American Literature, Geography, American and World History, Ethics, Social Studies, Government, Sign Language, and Bible. Studying French from 3rd grade through college back East and having friends who are French here in California has allowed me to remember the basics for the last thirty years.
