I graduated from high school in 2005 and was 12th in my class. Out of high school, I worked as a pre-school teacher with children ages 1-8 years. I attended Ohio University Athens for Speech Therapy for four years and am now finishing my undergraduate degree online. While in college, I took many child development courses and english courses because I find both to be so much fun to learn about. I also took classes in Math 1, Pre-Algebra, Algebra and statistics. I know work full time as an administrative assistant at a line construction company, so I spend several hours a day typing and working with programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

My comments on tutoring Microsoft Excel : The evolution of Microsoft Excel from its beginning is phenomenal. With its progress comes our capabilities. Gain an understanding of its formulas or make your own.

I've taught in the corporate environment. I've taught in the college environment. And I've been a personal computer consultant. I've taught "Intro to Computers" online. When I teach on any level and in any environment the focus is on how the student. Therefore, the cornerstone of all of my teaching experiences is that I speak in English rather than in computerese.
My teaching style is comfortable. I want to be comfortable and I want my students. If everyone is comfortable and not tensed up there's the possibility for a lot more learning. I try to let students learn at their pace. And in the case of the Microsoft Office products I prefer students use their own data as to learn the product and how it relates to them.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always felt strongly drawn to education, particularly in the field of literacy. I grew up as a child who loved to read, and I love to pass that on to others. After receiving my degree in English Literature, I became a teacher's aide at a small Montessori school in Springfield, Ohio. I taught my students reading for concepts and spelling in a small group setting, never more than four at a time.
