I have taught fourth grade for four years. In my second year there, I currently am in charge of the fifth grade team of 13 teachers for Tennessee Virtual Academy, a public online school. Teaching style varies depending on the student, but I always strive to pique their interest in certain areas by relating it to their everyday experiences. I believe interactive learning is most efficient and enjoyable, including examples and activities. The vast majority of my experience has been obtained throughout my time in college and my willingness to help fellow students and/or friends in a variety of studies. I excelled in American history, and still study it to this day. I never made below an "A" average in this area, and wrote numerous papers on the subject while in college. I have mentored various people since 2000, in all types of subjects, including math, science, social sciences, English, writing, literature, and other related subjects.
