I believe that all children learn differently. Some children need more of a hands on approach while others are more visual and still others learn just by memorizing facts. I believe in finding that way that each child learns best and helping them reach their potential. I enjoy seeing children get excited when they "get something" and I am glad to be able to help them reach that point.
As a teaching major, I did my student teaching during my last semester of college (in kindergarten and third grade). This was in the spring of 2008. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe children learn best when they can form a connection to their school work. Writing skills can be improved by using topics that are relevant to the student's life. When working on Reading skills I often use high interest topics such as the arts, sports, computers and science to encourage students to excel. Math can also become more meaningful by using real life situations and manipulatives. It is my goal to increase students' self esteem by providing situations in which they can succeed.
