I grew up in a household that valued education and creative learning. As a result, I have always been driven to do my very best in all subject areas. I officially started tutoring in 2002, at Southwest Minnesota State University. My initial subjects were Algebra and Finite Math. My experience stems primarily from my time attending college both in the United States and abroad in Cork, Ireland. I have earned a B.A. in English with the intent of pursuing graduate school. In May 2008 I was awarded the honor of an Award of Excellence in Critical Writing from the University of Northern Iowa. I spent three consecutive summers as a faculty member with Exploration Schools, Inc. located in Boston, MA where I taught, coached, tutored and led youth ranging in grades 4-9 in the areas. Being overwhelmed with information that is just not making sense can be frustrating and most teachers don't have the time to give individual attention to each student. Ever student has different needs and I can help them focus on areas they doesn't understand as well as others. I can also show students that studying can be fun.
I have teaching and tutoring experience at the high school and college level. I love expanding their minds and sharing my knowledge with them.
