Physics - Clearing Up A Murky Subject

I'm young professional working in the Blacksburg area as a mechanical engineer at an aerospace company. I graduated in '11 with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business. I worked as an online (distance) physics tutor for several years, and enjoyed it very much. I enjoy tutoring in basic math and sciences, but my favorite subject to tutor is physics. I'm proficient at both college and high-school level physics.

A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy working with young teens. I have worked in high schools for 25 years in Virginia and West Virginia. I have always had good rapport with teens and have enjoyed interacting with them. I have been trained in the Constructivist approach to teaching, but have had to change my style of teaching in order to cover materials necessary for SOL testing in recent years. I know that students retain more knowledge when they are involved in discovering new information and would love to have the latitude to teach in that manner again. I love this profession as my grand parents were Teachers. I came to US to teach but I learned variety of things as how to present the content.
