I enjoying helping people and especially children. I believe in the current society we live in today, it is essential for children to gain a good education and have role models to look up too. That is what I try to achieve when I tutor. I believe that anyone can learn anything if they are taught in the correct way. I come from a family of teachers and have always felt that teaching was one of the most important professions because it can have such a positive effect on the lives of others. I began tutoring students in math when I was in high school and found that my patience, easy-going nature, and ability to explain complex topics in simple terms made me a natural teacher. I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. I also have experience in 7th and 8th grade. My strengths are teaching math strategies such as facts, multi-step problems and algebra. I have a passion for reading and writing instruction. I am highly qualified to teach reading fluency, phonics/ word attack, comprehension and vocabulary.
