I attend Southwest TN community collge. My major is early childhood education and i have not graduated. But I am going to continue to until i graduate. I do not have any degrees in education. I do have a lot of experience. And have been to many work shops. I have been teaching and tutoring students for the last five years. My experience working with children has been great! I have worked with children as young as six weeks and as old as ten years old. Teaching and Tutoring children is one thing that I love to do. I tutor in all subjects. I have taught in all subjects. I feel that I can relate to children because I am also a child at heart. I believe in constant verbal quizzing and repitition as a means to develop the child's ability to retain knowledge and call it forth at will. I have learned from past work experiences that all people learn differently be it either visual, kinetic (hands-on), or verbal (by listening). By learning the child's learning type you can tell which method appeals to them and can create a learning environment to encourage their growth at a faster rate. I also have a history in the theatrical arts and vocal music performance which can assist in grasping the child's attention during those times of relaxed focus. Lastly, I feel that positive encouragment is key to building confidence and trust in those students with lowered self esteem.
