Literature is one of my top subjects! Literature encompasses reading at all levels, while focusing on the form and the meaning of the work studied. Lessons will include discussion, with emphasis placed on discovering and evaluating meanings inherent to the works presented. Comprehension and retention as well as opinion will be stressed. Throughout undergraduate and now graduate work, I have always had a passion for passing along what I know, in hopes of teaching and inspiring, and developing others. I have two years of private-school teaching behind me, as well as two summers working with inner-city kids in a program that used the arts to bridge the gap between social and educational shortfalls within the city. I am well read and well versed in classical and current literature, with published articles and short stories to my credit.
