I graduated Athens State University in 2005 with a BS in Elementary Education (K-6). After graduation, I became a substitute teacher for six months. In 2006 I was hired on by Decatur City Schools. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade for Decatur City Schools. I am currently employed with Decatur City Schools as an aide. I have also tutored children at The Dyslexia Clinic in Decatur. I have worked with children ranging in ages 4 years old to 18 years of age.
All children can learn, but it is my job, as a teacher, to figure out which learning style suits each particular child. Once you find that learning style, I always find that the students enjoy learning. Learning can be (and should be) enjoyed. I was blessed to have someone who showed me my abilities in relation to my character and became a tutor for peers and children younger than me starting at the age 11.Prior to graduating High School I completed Algebra 2/ Trig. I am currently seeking my Bachelor's in Information Technology, and will be beginning session to tutor for Mathematics in regards to the ACT. I have also tutored students seeking a GED.
