I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 2008, and will receive my Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences in May of 2010. Throughout the course of my college education, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. As an undergraduate student, I worked as a private tutor with extensive tutoring experience in all levels of mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, and ACT preparation. I am a recent graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with a BS in Business Administration - International Business and a focus in Chinese. Because this program is relatively new, a degree in International Business required multiple Finance courses, which allowed me to learn many advanced statistical and mathematical concepts. In these classes, I often assumed an informal tutor role and helped my fellow students understand difficult points. In addition, I trained new employees during my tenure as Lab Manager of a campus computer lab.

A Little Bit About Me...

I consider myself to exert a demonstrator model of teaching, meaning that I help children learn through demonstrating skills and then coaching students to apply these skills. I also focus on fostering self-confidence which can encourage any child to learn new and difficult skills.
