I truly enjoy working with students of all ages. It doesn't matter what they don't know because I believe anyone can be taught anything, at least as long as you have the right teacher and materials at your disposal. I believe students are like little sponges. They're taking in everything around them. Obviously, if you fill their heads with garbage, they will learn garbage. However, if you fill their heads with quality information, you explain it in a way that they understand, and you make it fun for them to learn, then they will learn everything you're trying to teach. My teaching style is "one-on-one" for the most part. My first instinct with tutoring is empathetic: if I were struggling in this particular subject, what would be the best way for me to understand it? If this method proves ineffective, I would choose a different technique. I am a visual learner so I often teach visually. I feel it is my job to inspire a student to want to love learning in the most effective manner of doing so.
