I have tutored a number of students in algebra and particularly enjoy tutoring the subject as it is critical to later topics in mathematics. I try to work with students to find connections between different aspects of the material that we're working on as well as to find connections to other subjects. I find that by relating specific topics to broader perspectives on a subject as well as related subjects, the student can gain a greater appreciation for the coherence and importance of a particular subject area.
