I attended school in Europe with a diverse background in all things cultural. I have multiple degrees from New Mexico Tech and have the coursework completed for two Masters in Education and Biochemistry. I am a licensed K-12 Teacher in NM and have been a teacher for over 15 years. I have taught all subjects and all grade levels and am quite proficient in Science & Mathematics.
I believe that learning happens when students are DOING things and having fun. I have a very hands on and fun teaching style where I make things real and relevant. I also have many ways of demonstrating and explaining things which helps student understanding and increases subject comprehension.

A Little Bit About Me...

During my career as a researcher in the field of software engineering, my work depended on mathematical thinking. I have spent considerable energy, from my time working toward my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in engineering and through my subsequent career, communicating ideas through writing, lecturing, tutoring, and creating and teaching courses. Watching my own children going through high school has motivated me for the past six years to focus my attention on teaching and tutoring, concentrating on math.
I enjoy teaching young adults, watching "the light bulb go off" as they come to understand concepts that had been eluding them. I enjoy helping others and believe that teaching is a constant learning experience for the teacher/ tutor as well as the student. If at any point I reach a topic that I have not used in some time, I am willing to purchase a textbook or topic material in order to refresh myself, to better help the student. In most cases, I prefer to purchase material for myself in advance, so I am prepared for the student prior to meeting.
As a graduate from New Mexico Tech, I believe my education to be advanced and very useful. NMT has very high expectations for its students, and demands an obscene amount of drive and focus.
