Having homeschooled my children (eldest is attending a top 20 public university)and volunteering extensively in the school community, I have become familiar with a wide variety of learning styles. My legal background has prepared me for tutoring in that I am able to effectively communicate with the student and present the material in a manner conducive to a learning experience(similar to explaining legalese to a lay person). Above all, I strive to ensure that the student has a true understanding of the materials, as opposed to simple memorization. I am previous student from Modesto Junior College and I am currently applying to nursing programs.I have received my degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences. I have worked with young kids in the past and find that my time with them has been very fullfilling. I am very efficeint in math and English.
