I graduated from the University of South Alabama with an Elementary Education degree in December of 2005. During this time, I completed my student teaching at Holloway Elementary School. During the year of student teaching, I learned to work with diverse learning styles, varying stages of development as well as a multitude of learning tools. I enjoy working with children of all ages. It is the duty of the teacher to meet children where they are and help them develop skills in their unique learning style. Learning should be interesting; an exploration of their world. I have studied Latin for 7 years, and have earned 27 credit hours at the collegiate level in the field with a 4.0 average in those courses in Latin Poetry, Latin Prose Composition, Latin Epistolary Writings, and Liturgical Latin. I have tutored 7 students in 100 and 200 level Latin courses at Franciscan University of Steubenville over the past 3 years. I have also earned 15 credit hours in Ancient Greek and 16 credit hours in Modern German, giving me extensive experience with analyzing grammar, syntax, morphology, and etymology differences between languages. After finishing my PhD I went to work for Monsanto as an organic analytical chemist. My speciality was the use of mass spectrometry to understand organic chemical reactions and the products and impurities that were formed. While working for Monsanto I also taught College chemistry classes (Organic I and II and the labs). I have over forty publications and forty presentations. I am the author of two books on Organic Analytical Chemistry. I was also honored by being appointed a Science Fellow in Monsanto.
