I was able to complete my BA in Psychology and Religion as Cum Laude and my MA in Counseling Psychology with a similar GPA. Since graduating I have had the opportunity to work with children and adolescents in a counseling capacity which often mirrors mentoring, teaching and leading. I have earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have over 15 years of teaching experience in all grade levels. I have spent the majority of my teaching career educating young adults in the areas of math, science, reading, social studies and writing.
Through my teaching experience thus far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities.
