I've been an informal tutor for as long as I can remember. My style of teaching was geared to the individuality of each child and his learning abilities. I feel that each child must learn at his own pace and it is my place to deal with this. I think that the teacher must motivate the child to want to learn and to discover the innate ability within each child. One of the most important things a teacher of Language Arts can get a student to do is write. The more a student writes, the more in tune they become with their own style of expression. This not only aids in prose development, but also communication in all forms. I believe that all children are capable of understanding parts of speech and writing well. Each has his own learning style and I pride myself in being patient enough to discover what each student needs.

After college, I entered the business world where I've worked doing various office duties, as a Safety Coordinator and an Inside Sales Manager.
