After completing my student teaching at Fort Campbell High School in Kentucky I was offered a position to teach English at another one of the military schools located on the base. I had thoroughly enjoyed teaching Senior English-it presented a challenge to me as I was only 22 and my "students" were 17 and 18 years old. I helped supervise the Senior play and talent show and found it to be a rewarding experience helping these students to grow in their knowledge of English grammar and to learn to appreciate their study of English literature.
My style of teaching was geared to the individuality of each child and his learning abilities. I feel that each child must learn at his own pace and it is my place to deal with this.
