My comments on tutoring Communications : I have a distinct communication style that seems to work for indiviiduals and organizations. My negotiating style is one of mutual respect and regard for all parties!

I have over 20 years of business and entrepreneurial experience. I consult to start up companies and mentor people who want to go into business. I also have 20 years of writing for print, tv, public relations and more. My degrees are in marketing, management, ama and business from Ivy Leagues Universites as well as local college in the Nashville area. I really enjoy teaching and have experience teaching in junior college. I am a person with varying interests and curiosity in life!!
I usually take the Socratic method of teaching. I always feel that people enjoy this style and seem to retain more information and answers to their questions.

English Language Tutor! Any first languages taught!

It's all about you, the students. We all learn differently, so I like to tailor my style to the person I'm teaching. Let me know what you want to learn, and I'll work with you to get the best result. The only requirement I have is that I want you to care. If you come to me, you have to work. I'm not a ogre, but I won't let you come to me and not try to learn.
I've been an informal tutor for as long as I can remember. I've tutored my peers and my juniors in English grammar, spelling, vocabulary, writing, composition, essay, formal reports, reading comprehension, and anything else involved in English. I also have formally studied Japanese and tutored in that. Formally, I have worked as an ESL teacher for The Salvation Army. I've been both a classroom teacher and a one-on-one teacher with my students.

A Little Bit About Me...

Graduating from Alabama with a BS in Finance, I have a strong grasp of math concepts. I finished with a 3.83 and excelled in history, math, computer, economics, and business classes. After graduation, I moved to China to work with college students in the non-profit sector and took language classes while there for two years.
My teaching style centers around the idea that every kid learns differently. Some understand pictures better some words. Either way someone learns, they stay focused through fun, enthusiastic teaching. After high school I achieved a BS from George Peabody College for teacher, however did not teach for money until many years later after I received my MS. My work in clinical psychology has been mostly with children, the severely mentally ill, and abuse cases. My last full time position was teaching high school material in a one room school to students who were wards of the state. I taught anger management for the local courts for eight years. Now I teach parenting classes for divorcing couples for the Giles County court. I also occasionally teach a seminar for attorneys on body language.
