Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! More and more emphasis should be placed on reading. Children need to develop the basic skills as well as a love for reading.

I enjoy children, especially young children and I believe that everyone can learn. I know that one-on-one hands-on teaching is the best and that is the approach that I take when tutoring. Some skills must be memorized but cognitive recall is important. I believe in using whichever learning style works best for the child. For most children, hands-on is the best. I do have patience when working with a child but expect him/her to do his/her best and be serious about learning.
