I am a retired educator who still has a passion for working with young people. I love using my knowledge and skills to assist young people in building self esteem and maximizing their learning potential. My career in Education covers a 31 year span. During this time II taught English, reading, literature, composition, and speech. Additionally I have worked as a school psychologist, and career technical counselor. I was a teaching assistant at North Georgia College and State University for three years. I assisted with laboratory sections of biology courses and taught them in the event of a professors absence. I provided department funded tutoring services during that time as well. I have taken the GRE and Biology Section of the GRE and received excellent scores on both tests in only one sitting. As a recent graduate from Clemson University's Calhoun Honors College, I deeply believe in the importance of education. I graduated high school with a high GPA and a 1420/1600 SAT score, I was granted the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship to attend college, where I graduated in three and a half years with honors. I am a life long learner of many subjects including but not limited to English, mathematics, sciences & technology, and interpersonal communication.
