A Little Bit About Me...

I was a teaching assistant at North Georgia College and State University for three years. I assisted with laboratory sections of biology courses and taught them in the event of a professors absence. I provided department funded tutoring services during that time as well. I have taken the GRE and Biology Section of the GRE and received excellent scores on both tests in only one sitting. My approach to instruction is to guide students to navigate the material to be studied by highlighting the subject areas that often cause trouble for students. With the introduction of each new topic, I make sure that such introduction is followed up with a detailed worked-out example as well as home-work assignments that are designed to reinforce through practice or elaborate on subtle points regarding the subject.
My work experience includes teaching physics courses in various colleges either as an adjunct or as a full-time faculty member for a cumulative period of approximately 9 years. I am a life long learner of many subjects including but not limited to English, mathematics, sciences & technology, and interpersonal communication. I began tutoring as an undergrad at the University of California, while completing my BA in Economics. I gained invaluable experience tutoring the Advanced English-Core class for incoming freshman on an individual basis.
