I have a very long history in school -- I have been in and out of school for many, many years, staggering my diploma, bachelor's, master's and doctorate across 25 years interspersed with jobs in industry. I believe learning is a lifelong process and that it never ends! I have a diploma in public relations, a bachelors in telecom, a master's in mass communication, and a doctorate in communication. I truly enjoy teaching and working with children. Every individual learns differently and I feel the key to teaching children is determining that learning style. I do not have a particular teaching style because I don't believe that a single method works for everyone. Therefore, I operate from an Occam's Razor perspective -- whatever is the simplest solution is the best. I believe I am very empathetic and perceptive, which would enable me to determine what works best for each student. Admittedly, I have no direct (structured) teaching experience. However, I have nearly five years of experience in the journalism field, and during that time I've mentored a number of fledgling college and high school journalists.
